How do you explain your pain?

I dunno, but don't y'all get sick of the 1-10 pain scale?

She doesn't give a darn.  I just wish she would acknowledge it.  I know if is a part of fibro, but darn it, it hurts!

How do you describe pain that is always changing?

I think most doctors that DO ask what the pain feels like, only want to know because certain types of pain can mean certain things. If nothing you say sparks some inspiration, it's forgotten.

I mostly get the 1-10 question, which I never know how to answer.

My "good" doctor usually does ask me if there have been any changes since my last appointment, which is a good opportunity to describe any pain changes or whatever.
