Hi Amanda,

Liquid eyeliner needs very careful application, but is striking in its intensity. I use it ocassionally but the ole shakes can make for a real mess (I find mascara is tricky enough - I've learnt to keep a repair kit nearby). Barbie recently bought me a roller type eyeliner pencil and that was good - it was precise and easy to apply ... but I've now been shown how good a soft smudgy lining can look and for me an ordinary pencil works best - the outside edge is then progressively faded away towards the outside of the lid and blended into the eyeshadow with a makeup wedge.

Barbara will probably read this and say I've got it all wrong ... as usual  ...

Nikki
