Gradually getting into repair and the miracles of new frame straightening machinery, Evonne's vehicles slowly repair with the help of others. The machines no longer buck and lie sadly on their sides. The rebuilt or healing vehicles are now content to travel to physician's offices sometimes taking routes which turn in one direction only. Evonne holds the steering wheel tightly in her hand never letting it go, almost unconscious of what fatigue is, since most days are spent sleeping. Trucks are now perceived everywhere.
