In Shingon Shu we believe that the mere aspiration of enlightenment, your first steps, the choice to finally end suffering, brings about the product, in this life. The innate seed of wisdom we all possess lays dormant, lulled by ignorance, kept sleeping by desire.

Nagarjuna said, "In order for the cause to be the true cause of the effect, the cause must be present in the effect, either actually or potentially". Your choice to know, to search, to find out what is just beyond perception, was started many lives ago and has now finally reached the point of fruition. The seed of enlightenment is within you, as it is within all people…it only has to be realized.
