Welcome to the Xmas season, dear ( or Any season where you're depressed over the struggles of the Wurld.) It is normal to feel this way, at this time of year. Nothing is seriously wrong with your Spirit - you're not Going to Hell, you're not going to be Lost for Eternity.

So, I'm a'gonna give ya something to take for this malaise you bear, the shitty feeling or the apathy or the depression. Here is Kellogg's Tonic for Tots - "Tonic" being what you need to take to get better, and "Tots" being all of us children in the Wurld.

  1. Give thanks: Give thanks by putting some flowers on a grave, or on an altar, or by planting some seeds in the ground - or by giving someone a hug - someone you otherwise would not give anything to. Or simply say a quiet prayer, a few words to yourself - of Thanks. What are you giving Thanks for? Thanks that you are alive, that you have a house over your head, that you have a family who loves you --- and give thanks that you have relatives and friends that Allow you to Show Courtesy and Warmth and Loving, when they DON"T. Give ALOT of thanks for the last item: It means more than you know.

 (2) Relax. Take 10 minutes out of your day to relax -- outside in the fresh air, out in the woods or the park - but away from other people. During this 10 minutes - don't Think of solving any problems or being Strong or Brave - or Sad or Whinny for that matter. Just enjoy the Time.

(3) Silence. Pick a time each day - Make it during the above Relaxing time if you wish...and be Silent. Say Nothing. Period. Don't try to do any whizzing psychic stuff either. Just. - Be - Silent.

(4) Once a day - every day - perform 1 random Act of Kindness. It can be towards Anyone, preferably someone who hates you. If no one hates you, choose a stranger that no one else likes. What Kind of Act ? Simple kindness. A meal - giving a ride - offering some act. It has to Be a Personal Act. Don't just give money, don't just "be nice". IT has To Be an ACT. Lest you missed this point - you dont get to ask for anything in return. Duh! Don't brag about how nice you just were. Just do it, and Say nothing About it.

I will guarantee at least one result of the above tonic. If you "take it" faithfully, each day - I guarantee you will at some time during the first 3 days...Cry your eyes out like a babe. Guaranteed. In fact, in reading this - you may already be crying J And you will start to feel alittle better; about yourself, about your path, about your life.

And that's OK. It's called Healing. We all need to do it, during this season - because we are ALL such ASSHOLES during the year.

ALL of US.

So drink the "Tonic for Tots" - get the tissue ready - and start to feel better with yourself and the Wurld.

OK?

ok

hi kellog

Kellog_bluff says:

good afternoon

*·._.·´¯*·.€vØnn£ tH?§TØr¥t€lL£r*·._.·´¯*·. says:

i have been rereading your writings. most of my questions are on the trivial side. but i did come up with one last night when reading "Tonic for Tots"

Kellog_bluff says:

no question - if from the heart - is trivial.

Kellog_bluff says:

only people's view of them.

*·._.·´¯*·.€vØnn£ tH?§TØr¥t€lL£r*·._.·´¯*·. says:

i was wondering about this part in Tonic for Tots:

*·._.·´¯*·.€vØnn£ tH?§TØr¥t€lL£r*·._.·´¯*·. says:

"and give thanks that you have relatives and friends that Allow you to Show Courtesy and Warmth and Loving, when they DON"T. Give ALOT of thanks for the last item: It means more than you know."

Kellog_bluff says:

what were you wondering?

*·._.·´¯*·.€vØnn£ tH?§TØr¥t€lL£r*·._.·´¯*·. says:

what does it mean exactly ? Why more than I know?

Kellog_bluff says:

give thanks......

Kellog_bluff says:

that you have people (close to you) .....

Kellog_bluff says:

who allow you to display ethical/spiritual performance (according to your personal creed)....

Kellog_bluff says:

when they do NOT act in accordance with theirs (or yours) - and display nothing of the kind....

Kellog_bluff says:

shed any light for you, now?

*·._.·´¯*·.€vØnn£ tH?§TØr¥t€lL£r*·._.·´¯*·. says:

yes. thanks. interesting angle. i have been raised that way in a way...

Kellog_bluff says:

interesting angle?

*·._.·´¯*·.€vØnn£ tH?§TØr¥t€lL£r*·._.·´¯*·. says:

i never thought about it that way. i was always just told that i had to be that way. "That does not mean you get to be rude too young lady" etc.

Kellog_bluff says:

so even tho you were directed to act that way (by the old folks) - you never thought about it - until now?

Kellog_bluff says:

do you - now that you are reviewing this - understand, at least intellectually --- why this action is important?

*·._.·´¯*·.€vØnn£ tH?§TØr¥t€lL£r*·._.·´¯*·. says:

I always looked at it from a business and family point of view. Representing my family and how I was raised or being a professional of a company.

Kellog_bluff says:

then you have alot of catching up to do.

Kellog_bluff says:

it's not the complete answer - you asked two questions.

Kellog_bluff says:

"the difference between simple and easy is best explained thru this question. Most folks consider it "easy" to give a stranger a nice word or deed...but to act towards those who are intimate or "close" to you - in accordance with your personal Protocol, all the time - every day, in every way --- is not easy.

Kellog_bluff says:

But it is simple.

Kellog_bluff says:

you simply - decide that - whatever action taken or word spoken against you - you will treat the ones closest to you - as the treasures they are... and remember that there will be times you Don't want to do this - or maybe feel you Can't do this...and it is for those times where Life is not peachy and Life stinks and you are the victim of mean words/deeds -

Kellog_bluff says:

that the value of "tonic for tots" - and the value of your own personal protocol....

Kellog_bluff says:

becomes real.

Kellog_bluff says:

simple - not easy.

Kellog_bluff says:

.........
