<DIR>

here is kellog's creed: I hope you derive some usefulness from it.  It tokk me a long while to realize the import of these little words - and my little mind.

1: Don’t let anyone rule over your mind.

2: We are all masters - but don’t ever call yourself one.

3: Listen to the folks around you - then listen some more.

4: Nothing of value in this Wurld ever comes without effort - don't be lazy.

5: Everyone has something to teach - so shut up and listen.

 6: If you learn nothing else in this Wurld trip - learn self discipline.

 7: Patience and kindness are the virtues you need desperately.

 8: Treat all others as you would wish to be treated (unless you're masochistic.)

 8a: Violence is always the last resort, and always the clumsy resort; harm no one who is not harming you. If harm approaches, use strategy to deflect or derail.

 9: Build your Etiquette as though you will greet the Gods tomorrow morning.

 10: Never let 'em see ya sweat.

thanks for listening - now go build the Wurld.

</DIR>

This was posted a time ago and has fallen to the bottom of the list.... I want to invite all of our "new" roomies that have not yet heard "Kellog's Creed" to take some time and read this over.

some people giggle, other guffaw.  Most smile when they laugh, and others laugh a little when they really want to cry.  It is my pleasure to read and to see - a person who laughs - by laughing.

The laugh is a pulse wave... it is a soft explosion of expression, albeit with a skeptic's practiced eye.  It is also an implosion of empathy, and assessment, and introspection, and a sharing we not often receive in this life with all of life's outward shallowness and apathy.

This laugh has value.

My impeccable traveler, and hopefully my friend: Thanks for the laughter, and welcome to the jungle.

(those little green beastie froggies on the left - they bite, but they taste like pastrami)

lol what you wrote rings in my ears, though the words are now forgotten.  I thank you my dear old friend you have helped me in ways you may not have anticipated. But most importantly you have reminded me, and we all need to be reminded from time to time, from one to another I am glad our energy has again touched despite this odd new venue.

Thank you for reminding me, and allowing me to recall a fond memory of my Father teaching me these same rules. He is a wise man and I see I have met another. I am pleased to see this advice being passed on even still today.:)
