ok, i hope i am writing this in the right place. i am very interested in all things spiritual and have never really gone any further than a bit of cosmic ordering and reading my oracle cards and i would like to do more, not much in other words lol. I did once do a connection exercise in another group once but thats it. can anyone let me know where would be a good place to start?

thankyou

Just a suggestion Kat but in the group we have a couple of small exercises going at the moment - the ESP and Pets Corner and the Cuppa Challenge is excellent when Erika starts them up again shortly.

I also can't recommend meditation enough - Polly wrote a wonderful meditation exercise - I will go hunt it out for you,

Hi there Kat

I'll be starting up the cuppa time challenges again on Monday.  I'm going to start a message thread of their own for them I think so we don't loose them, and you can go back and see how you develop.  We've lots of new-ish members that had a go in the last round of them, and they did really really well.

The gist of it is that I post up a picture and leave it up for a few days, and you come and do what it says in the first message and leave your own message in that thread.  There will be two themes:

Mondays will be Focus and Trust
Thursdays will be Connection

So after a monday, you take it a step further on a thrusday, with a different picture - but all will be clearer when I post the things up - honest.

As Nova said, you can join in the weekly ESP exercises  and in also in Pets corner.  Once you get used to all that, you might feel brave enough to have a go at the monthly readathon.

Another good place ot start, is if you go to the Tips for dealing with fear thread (which i will bump up fo ryou in aminute), theres lots of real quick ways to get yourself in the right space to do anything.  you can even try doing a quick alignment and then just sitting with a blank piece of paper and a pen/pencil and either writing what comes to you, or drawing what flows out the end of your fingers.

Most of the memebers exrecises/challenges don't require a long ground and centre, but a read of that thread in the Information pages wouldn't do you any harm, and you'll be surpised how much you will get just form doing the ground and center ceremonies and then just simply sitting for a few minutes and basking in the light.

Meditation is a fabulous way to bring yourself on slowly, and the hardest thing with that is clearing your mind and trusting what you get - practice practice practice will help with that.

If that is not enough, then we are going to be starting up open circle again soon, I'm jsut trying to work out wich night of the week is best for everyone, as we have folks scattered to the four courners of the globe here and a lot of time zoones to figure in.

There,.....are you exhausted yet LOL

Welcome, and do join in, if you are unsure about anything, just leave us a message in the general thread, and someone round here will help you if Nova and I aren't around.

Love and light

Erika
