James my big brave but oh so sensitive boy, this is the first I remember of you showing your special knowledge LOL: You were about 5 years old and it was not a nice time in my life, lots of arguments with your dad and little money for food, mice living with us quite openly in the derelict house and mummy was looking for a way out. One day I found you had put a drawing up in your room, it was of a lady with a sad face, tears all around. I said what is this picture you have made? You said that's you mummy when you have left daddy and you are alone and very sad. I had not even decided on leaving your dad at that stage so I was very surprised, but sure enough a few months later we did go and yes I did cry a lot but things got a lot better after that. When we were living in the refuge you made many drawings that were lovely, and one again stood out of 2 children and a mum under a big dark cloud standing on a road, but at the end of the road was a house with a rainbow over it, and again you were right we did get the house and things again looked better. It's been awhile since I've had anything to write down here. You're such a sensitive boy but I know you think a lot and a lot of the stuff you wont tell me as you discard it in the same way your dad would. But sometimes you come out with some real gems. You've had trouble sleeping lately and I know part of the reason for that is this house and your room which you insist is not nice to be in at night. But also part of it I must admit is that you worry about me my darling and sometimes you wake up shouting for me and asking if I am not coming to bed soon LOL. Sometimes I wonder who's the parent here but I know you need to know where I am and that I'm ok so that's fine. This morning you woke up and said you'd had some interesting dreams and that they were similar to dreams you'd had a few months back and that you knew why. Because, you said, when you have the same feelings and when you're thinking about the same things as you did then that's when the dreams at night will be the same aswell. Very philosophical for so early in the morning I thought! And yes my boy you are totally right, our dreams do have messages for us. Love you lots XXXXX Mummy |
