All righty then, sorry for dragin my butt and being late....
The Picture is taken on the Grand Union Canal just up the road from where we live, near a very old town called Denham. the three children stomping up the tow path are Kayleigh Alex & Victoria
And straight to feedback....
Elaine - Futher behind us were an old couple on a very old canal barge, with an old dog and a rickety looking teapot used as a plant pot over the door to their galley. The barge was painted witha gypsy woman on it witha bright coloured scarf.
Nana - This part of the canal is a very popular walking spot for families, probably because the path is so wide and there is room for pushchairs and cyclist. What you can't see is that further back is a wooded area with lots of trails through it, and there are loads of people walking their dogs there. We love going htere, even if its rainy and we tell the kdis they have to get out and get some air, we always end up with our flasks of hot chocolate and chocolate biccies.
Always - Just up from where were walkiing were flowers (old oones that had withreed and almost faded away) so I am guessing you are right there. Denham is inside the M-25 and not far from London.
Polly - loads of barges on the canal, even though you can't see them on the picture. It is very very clean there, despite being not far from the M-40 motorway. there is tonnes and tonnes of wildlife, especialy in the woods at the left of the canal. There are a lot of breeding pairs of Red Kites in the whole of the Denham area - part of their reitnroduction to the countryside. Kayleigh ahs a teddy bear with big ears that is one of the cats fave sleeping spots.
Nova - Alex generally brings up the rear when all three are together, the one at the back didnt have a limp, but victoria did. She spent a 6 month period where anything longer than a five moiniute walk woul dhurt the muscles in her efeet. IT didnt stop her walking (or moaning about it LOL) You are right, depsite the hustle and bustle of the wooded trails, on the canal itself was quiet for about 2 miles, Barry and I were at the back putting the world to rights LOL
Martine - you are spot on with everything - the only thing i can't verify is the pig farm wars - but there are lots of farms around the area, and even as you drive down the M-40 there is one on the road that we turn off on to get to the park.
WELL DONE ALL OF YOU!!!!!!
Love and light
