This is the shift in people's thinking that is so important to this country and this world on whole....I nearly cried when I saw the crowds so ecstatic over this. I think this is an amazing man who is going to do amazing things........I don't know how many of you are in Canada but I am not certain who was more thrilled about this.....the U.S. or us! lol.

You have no idea how happy this has made me! The American nation finally has a real "person" to rule their country. I agree with you Jadie, I think us Canadians were probably one of the happiest! |

This is truly history in the making - and sooo wonderful - I can still remember the riots when they tried to allow the black children to go to the white schools - they have come a long way and it is so good to see. Lots of emotion last night! Hugs, CC |

Anyone I talked to today was so happy that Obama was elected. I can't wait to see him be sworn in and he can start to work officially. He has got a bright future ahead of him but it's going to be a lot of work. It took 8 yrs for Bush to get the country in the mess it's in so Obama can't clean it up overnight. It's going to take time but I have faith he can do it. He is a real person... he came from ordinary people and had to work hard to get where he is today. Bush and McCain came from big money and all they care about is the big kick backs to their rich friends. That's why the country has gone to hell in a handbasket. It's the ordinary people that keep the country's economy running so let's hand something back to them to make things a little easier. I know Obama will do that. Ok, I'll get off my soap box now...lol. Congratulations Obama!! Hugs, Wheezie |
