The Athiest

An athiest was spending a day fishing when suddenly his boat was attacked by the Loch Ness Monster. In one easy flip, the beast tossed both him and his boat high into the air. Then it opened it's mouth wide to swallow him on his decent.

As the man tumbled head over heals in the direction of the monster's mouth, the athiest cried out, "Oh my God! help me."

At once, the ferocious attack scene froze and time stood still and as the athiest hung in mid air, a booming voice came down from the clouds, "I thought you didn't believe in me?"

"Come on God, give us a break," the man pleaded. "Two minutes ago, I didn't believe in the Loch Ness Monster either."

It's funny how sometimes, at the point of death or when nearing death, someone who as never believed in God can suddenly have a change of heart.

I remember one old gentleman who had never believed in God or the after-life, who always said, "When thes dead thes dead and that's the end of story. But when he was facing death's door, he began to see his dad and his mum. He saw angels waiting at his bedside, ready to take him accross. It took him awhile before he was convinced and ready to go with them but when he finally did, he went in peace.

There's so many in this world who believe in God but don't know him. We see people fighting and killing in the name of God and religion, but they still don't know him.

Many religions believe in God but they don't all understand that God is love. God is The Father. We who live on this earth are all brothers and sisters born of The Father; And being brothers and sisters, we should be learning to live in the love of The Father. We should all be learning to love each other, no matter what colour, no matter what creed, no matter what race. If only all religions were taught this. If only all in this world could learn to live as one and if only all could believe in one God, one Love and lay down there arms, accepting that all others are entitled to follow which creed they feel right with when it comes to believing in God. If only all on this earth would say live and let live but live in that great devine love that for many who do believe in God, unfortunatly, don't understand and if they did, wouldn't this world be a better place to live?
