Our heads were bowed in sorrow,
Our eyes so full with tears.
My memory drifted back,
To those somewhat distant years.
The love so dense around us,
embraced us like a shroud.
Security and happiness,
A blue sky with no cloud.
Back into reality,
my heart it skipped a beat,
I sat there in the church,
with memories so sweet.

the times we spent together,
They were the very best.
