When you have reached that stage in your evolution when you know it is not right to eat the lesser creation of the Greaat Spirit, then you inflict on yourself a punishment for doing that which you know to be wrong. If you have not reached that stage of evolution, then your soul is not yet aware that it is wrong and there will be no punishment. Always there is a price to be paid for knowledge. That price is responsibility.. Would this be a happier world and would people become healthier if they were vegetarians? I WILL answer the question by saying that in my view the answer must be "Yes". From many points of view meat eating is deleterious. These points of view include physical, mental and spiritual aspects. Not only is the moral question involved, the health question is involved too. From the spiritual point of view I would go so far as to contend that, with the evolution of the race, vegetarianism will become the increasing diet of larger numbers of people. | |

| | Hi Sandy Our young Chloe is doing her bit for vegetanarism - she has a habit of saying in the middle of a meal things like "Are you eating porky pig?" I never quite enjoy my Sunday dinner the same after that . When I was young my Mum would tell me that a chicken on your plate is different to a bird (I was a very naive child) whereas the only one Chloe hasn't clicked onto is that beef comes from an animal. She doesn't mind eating fish but she just won't eat meat or poultry- god forbid that I ever cook lamb!! I love the idea in principal but I enjoy my food too much to do without it, Love Nova xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx | |

My daughter was a veggie for 5 years and then one day whilst standing in the kitchen watching me take a chicken out of the oven she decided - thinking I didnt see her- to check the crispiness of the bacon that I had on the top. Oops she couldnt resist. She was in there chicken and bacon "just a little bit" of course. My son decided at the age of 19 to become a veggie, when asked why he said that he couldnt afford meat!! Student see! Me, for all my sins enjoy my food, but of course I eat to live, not live to eat. Polly xxxxxxxxxx |

Hi I have been a Veggie for about 10 years now. I was married to a real control freak who used to make the meals and put meat on my plate even though he knew I didnt like it, he would not let me order veggie food in restaurants either, I was so relieved when we split up and then divorced because I could finally eat what I wanted, it was so liberating. Veggie food can be very varied, interesting and tasty and I even have my husband eating predominantly veggie food, he does have meat occasionally when we are out or get a takeaway but says he enjoys the meat free version. I dont believe meat eaters will be ill-judged in the next life - did Jesus have a veggie diet when he was on earth? Its just a personal preference thing. I started this just because I didnt like meat and it was compounded when I had to take my children to school past the abatoir and the obvious stress the animalswere under really upset me. love and light Linda xx |

well, i was always fussy what i did and didn't eat as a child, only eating tiny amounts of meat, at 14 i got wise and decided that meat was disgusting and cut most of it out bar wimpy burgers, ham and chicken, a short while later i took it to the next level and became full on lacto-ovo vegetarian. i educated myself as much as i could about getting a healthy balanced diet but veggie burgers were quite a new and 'faddy' thing back then! about 4 years ago i decided that even though i was trying to be healthy and cook regular veggie dishes from scratch then put meat on the side for the rest of the family, i decided to try and go vegan! i've never felt better! i no longer suffer with regular bouts of depression as i had been for years, i need less sleep, my skin is much clearer and i'm rarely ill. |

as far as I see it, if you couldn't eat animals they'd be poisonous-like some plants are. And cutting one thing out is not necessarily good for you anyway. love chazz |
