 Precautions and Control

In order to find out what parasites are common in your area, please contact your local State or County Extension Office.

In order to prevent infestation, you need to periodically do a thorough cleaning in all the area's your poultry live.

Using a pesticide is recommended if any parasites are found, and at least once every 4 months for prevention control. Call your local feed store to find the proper pesticide to use on your poultry.

When using pesticides, please remember to use gloves and a face mask. Also, don't forget to remove all food and water before applying pesticides. When applying to the chickens, do it in a well-ventilated area.

After applying the pesticides, remember to store the leftovers in a safe place away from children. Please use a well-marked container. After you are finished, remember to wash your skin. When washing your clothes, it is recommended that you wash them by themselves.
