Set in 1818 I think. How long do the Sharpe books go on for ? Any set after Waterloo will have to take place in the colonies or south America.

Wait! Hasn't T-dog had a good sneer at Sharpe yet? And his Sgt is Irish must get shot in the back when he's home on leave........

There is one post Napoleonic Sharpe; "Sharpe's devil" set in the Chilean War of independence, and including Lord Cochrane whom T-Dog must hate since he was loyal to Britain. I won't spoil the plot if I say Napoleon plays a cameo role.

The Indian Sharpes are "Sharpe's Fortress"," Sharpe's Tiger" and "Sharpe's Triumph".

He also fights at Trafalgar and Copenhagen.

The Indian Sharpes are at the beginning of his career before he sees the Light and becomes a Light Infantryman

Seafire

You'll be proud to note you sent me on a quick diversion to Google and I found Cornwell has written another new book, "Azincourt"

I read the Grail Quest trilogy which includes Crecy and this guy knows his longbow stuff.

I watched the first episode of this new Sharpe and it's a much of a muchness. Bean looks old and tired and spends the whole first episode, starring at the ground in a timid form of submission, whenever somebody talks to him. One Sharpe too many and at £4.000.000 an episode, certainly not value for money.

But at least the precocious French girl had a remarkable cleavage.

Mark, get some specs.

That was Sergeant Patrick Harper's cleavage, a potato induced affliction from which all non Protestant Irish males suffer. See T-dog frequent posts.
