Yeah, GB & France did not start WWII until Sept 1939.

I've always thought that the true date for the beginning of WW II should be 7 April 1939 when Italy invaded Albania. There had been other takeovers before that of course, but the events of April 1939 were the first in which shots were fired. Hitler's annexations before that had been more or less unopposed.
