A Tribute To Our Pioneers.

A tribute to our pioneers,
From the days gone by,
A tribute to our pioneers,
Not far from Gundagai.

Down near the Murrumbidgee,
You'll find this monument stone,
The dog upon the tuckerbox,
Sits proudly there alone.

Yes, and also at Snake Gully,
Is Dad and Dave's sculpure too,
It's nice to keep our heritage,
And it's there for me and you.

A tribute to our pioneers,
From the days gone by,
A tribute to our pioneers,
Not far from Gundagai.

this reminds me of another poet who was loved dearly here - David Henry.

Australia must ingrain those wonderful open rhythms from birth!
welcome to The Poets' Place, Duncan.

i just saw that you posted your poem on the Sound Board, Duncan.

since it is not a recording (and this is an old Board - we have a separate Radio Forum now) - you would be much better off posting on the General Board so other Members can view your work.

you would get a much better response.  any questions - Go to Member Help - or ask on the General Message Board.
