Hi all,

I'm new to this group, I have been in the Aidsmythexposed group for a week or so and have been researching the topic for a couple of months.
What I have discovered has lead to me reassessing my situation (I'm HIV +) and taking back my life.
I wrote a brief log of my last few years and the issues that concerned me. Once I read Clark Bakers report, I decided to put things to the test, this is what I have found so far. (I have cut and pasted it from what I wrote in AME, saves having to retype it.)

I'm new to this group and this new lease on life.

A bit about me and my experiences that have brought me to this point. I had no idea that my wishful thinking over the past 5 years was actually based on facts.

I lived in London for 9 years and had a great time. Did the usual things that any young, free, randy guy does, partied hard and took recreational drugs. (my girlfirend at the time was doing the same.)

I caught syphillis and they decided to test for hiv. I had had hep B 10 years earlier and never been treated for it. (South Africa).

I was obviously stamped with the death sentence in the process. (After one test, don't know which one, WB or Eli)

I discussed it with my g/f and she went for a test a few days later. (She was pregnant at the time too, we didn't know though.)

Through ignorance, we told them I was newly diagnosed, so obviously, in combination with the pregnancy, another death stamp.

Our relationship was losing its zing and with the the sudden shock of imminant death, we split. She decided to abort.

I continued to have check ups and was monitored like a lab rat.

A year went by and I met someone, bit of a whirlwind time and a year later we were married.

We never used condoms and we did have a very good sexlife.

Although the marriage didn't last long, we did have unprotected sex regularly for just over 2 years.

She is still negative to this day.

I have been single now for 2 years, kind of drifted off into this isolated, lonely way of life.

2 months ago I started have really severe heart pulpitations. I'm 34 and still in good shape, but these pains made me keel over in pain and shock of an imminant heart attack.

I also had marks on my hands and blemishes on my face.

I decided to Google side effects of hiv meds.... and I stumbled onto Clark Bakers report.

That night I stayed awake all night reading up on as much as I could. One link lead to another, more evidence to justify my last 5 years. Everything that occured through these years was being explained, it was all clear. All the missing pieces where falling into place.

That was on the 08/08/08, lucky 8's, the chinese lucky number.

I have not taken meds since then. (It has been a real psychological rollercoaster... every ache or twinge or bump send fear shooting through me, but hey, that's what they designed it to do.)

The heart pulpitations stopped immediately, the skin blemishes are almost gone, I've gained 2kgs in weight and I feel great.

I went for my quarterly check up and blood tests last week and awaiting the results. It was interesting too seeing the marketing all over the GUM clinic, seeing it as pharma drugs wars shouting at me as I walked through the room, rather than the hope these posters used to give me before, like a man on a cross...

I asked my doctor some leading questions, like what does the test actually test for, and why is this virus selective... she kept sidestepping them.

I didn't want to persevere, I had my answers alredy.

Then, to top it off, she asked me if I would rahter have meds delivered to my house rather than collecting them, as this saves them from paying vat on the meds.... yup, the middleman clinic making money on the home delivery service. Wish my past 'drug dealers' had offered this service.

I want to thank Clark for the eye opening report and also for telling me about this group.

I'll be updating my progress and I look forward to learning so much more from all of you and to a normal life again.

Welcome. What I think I'll do is use this thread for people who want to discuss their personal experiences with one "disease" or another. As I've said (here or elsewhere), if our "experts" had done more research on patient lifestyles rather than just focusing on abstract concepts such as "viruses," the whole "AIDS" problem might have been over long ago (except for those who, for whatever reason, decide to live very unhealthy lives).

Thanks Hans,

I agree, that is something I have noticed since starting the research. The evidence is overwhelming and I have made my decision based on it. However, there aren't enough people speaking out about their own personal experiences.

I also agree with your comment regarding the type of lifestyle people live. I did live a very unhealthy lifestyle, from drug abuse, promiscuity and bad diet. So the combination of the lifestyle and also past illnesses kept my system weak.

I know live, and have done for 3 years, a good, healthy lifestyle. However, since stopping the medication, I have started the first signs of looking and feeling better.

I am expecting my results for the latest test soon, so will update the findings. Also having extra, anonymous tests done and also doing home tests.

Will keep you all informed.

LB,
What happened to the hep b? You said you were never treated for it. I dont know anything at all about what it does to you but from the little ive heard it supposedly doesnt just "go away", so do you still have it? Any symptoms?

Before you got on meds for the HIV, did you have any symptoms? How long have you had HIV? I am interested to see if anything negative happens now that you are off the meds. What does your current diet consist of? Would it be defined as healthy by this forum (low PUFA, etc etc)

Did that girlfriend that you got pregnant ever get HIV or Hep B from you?
Thanks!
-Drew

Hi Drew,

Sorry for the delay in replying, I did write about a week ago, but it didn't load for some reason.
I'll get right to answering your questions then,

The hep b, well, my last check up they said that I may have seroconverted as ther is no trace of it.I have been treated for it over the past 4 years, so needless to say, I was very pleased with that news.I was ill with it years ago, but to this day I've had no symptoms of it.
Before I went on meds for hiv I never had any symptoms. I just went with the advice of the doctors and started it when they told me. In the 4 years or so I've missed just 2, this was down to falling asleep on the sofa!
I've had hiv for around 5 or 6 years now.
My diet is not the greatest, but I do eat well. I eat what I enjoy and eat when I'm hungry. I've always been slim, quite fortunate really, but since stopping the meds I have put on weight.
Regarding my ex girlfriend, she never got hep from me. She did get diagnosed with hiv, but as I mentioned in the above letter, she was pregnant when she was tested, so who knows how they arrived at the outcome. She is also healthy to this day.

I recently went for more check ups and I must say, the results have shown a slight increase in my VL, which did concern me as I have been undetectable for a few years. This however is down to the changes in my system as I have not taken meds now for almost 2 months. I have gone for more tests and am now going to monitor the results more closely.

I hope this helps, I'll be reporting back with the results soon and keep feeding back any findings I come across.

Take care,
