Being O- type blood, mine is always on demand. I used to give regularly and had a donors card that showed the total pints given and the card allowed free blood to any family member that needed blood. It is now 'free'  and only a professional charge is charged for the medical staff performing the service of transfer. Is it a good thing for my system to be regenerating blood cells for good overall health?
