When I was about 20, I had a plantar's wart that no doctor could get rid of, and I decided to consult a radiologist. He said that he was in the Korean War, and that the nurses has this problem, and the solution was simple: large doses of water-soluble vitamin A. It took a couple of months, but it worked. I now don't take A, but I do take a "dry vitamin D" made by the Country Life company. I would suggest only taking the USRDA, unless there is a reason to think you need more. |

I've read that fat-soluble is much more preferable to water-soluble vitamin A. Also, doesn't higher doses of Vitamin D cause an increase in the need for A? |

Well, when you read the "professional" nutrition textbooks, you often find claims with citations, but the citations aren't always on point, and some things were not known when the claims were made, such as vitamin B6 deficiency being the real cause of so-called "essential fatty acid" deficiency, so I'd have to see the original evidence and then I could offer my ideas on this particular claim. |
