It's this Thursday, 28 April:

The Executive Diversity
Career Opportunities Fair

The next Executive Diversity Career Opportunities Fair will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2005, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Chicago at the Embassy Suites Hotel Downtown. The fair is presented by CareerJournal.com, The Wall Street Journal's career site for executives, managers and professionals; by CollegeJournal.com, The Wall Street Journal's site for executive-track college students and recent graduates; and by Lucas Group, a national executive search firm headquartered in Atlanta.

The Executive Diversity Career Opportunities Fair provides a unique setting to meet with top companies seeking senior-level talent.

  • Eligibility: Companies recruiting at the fair are strongly committed to seeking executive, managerial and professional minority candidates and women, including those recently graduated from M.B.A. and J.D. programs, however all candidates are welcome.

  • Cost: The event is free of charge.

  • Environment: All interviews will be conducted in private suites with company representatives.

  • Career Assistance: Free seminars will cover such topics as interviewing, networking and negotiating more effectively, and a free resume critique will be offered at no charge throughout the event.

  • Employers: Top employers in a range of industries will attend. Companies that have agreed to participate so far include: Accenture, American Express Financial Advisers, Amerisure Insurance, AON, Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, Cargill, Caterpillar, Cisco Systems, Comerica, Compass Group, Deloitte & Touche, Dow Jones & Co., Ernst & Young, Fidelity Investments, GE Consumer Finance, Goldman Sachs, HealthNet, Hewitt Associates, Intel, JPMorganChase, Kohl's Department Stores, KPMG, LaSalle Bank, Medtronic, Merck, Morgan Stanley, NAVTEQ, the NCAA, Progressive Insurance, Prudential Financial, The Robert Toigo Foundation, RR Donnelly, Russell Investment Group, SC Johnson, Simon Property Group, Walton Construction, Wellpoint, Zurich American Insurance and others.
