Director of Marketing International

Still going strong after more than 80 years, our client has expanded its business beyond mutual funds to include products such as annuities, institutional separate accounts, and private portfolio management services. Headquartered in <st1:City w:st="on">Boston</st1:City>, they also has a large office in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Phoenix</st1:City>, <st1:State w:st="on">Arizona</st1:State></st1:place>, as well as satellite offices around the world.

Salary: $150K + 50% Bonus

Functions: Sales and Trading

Description:
-Using discretion and judgment, this position provides leadership and direction for the MIL (International Limited) Marketing function.
-Develops and executes international marketing strategies and programs to expand global presence.
-Works with cross-functional business partners, manages marketing campaigns and creates international marketing and sales materials.
-Quantifies and assesses global market opportunities through financial analysis and modeling.
-Determines and recommends countries for new business.
-Develops complex and integrated marketing programs supporting various offshore financial services products and markets.
-Increases sales and market penetration of strategic importance to the firm.
-Through financial, competitive and market analysis, understands local markets in South America and <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Canada</st1:place></st1:country-region>. Understands target audiences, the company's business needs, marketing and sales goals, regulatory requirements and market trends of countries.
-Develops measurements and analysis for reporting of profitability, distribution by sales channel and other variables as needed.
-Analyzes results of campaigns. Determines area of success and areas for improvement.
-Matches analysis to industry standards and metrics. Recommends future course of action.
-In conjunction with cross functional business partners, creates marketing and sales materials for the offshore fund families.
-Provides leadership to a licensed team of marketing professionals.
-Allocates and monitors work, makes decisions regarding employment, training and development, performance appraisals and salary administration.
-Acts as liaison to XXX Compliance Department to ensure that offshore annuity products meet XXX Compliance requirements.
-Initiates meetings with business heads, field force, brokers and bankers, investment staff members, and compliance personnel to develop objectives, strategies and product positioning.

Qualifications:
-Bachelors' degree in marketing. MBA preferred.
-Minimum 10 years of relevant industry, marketing and sales experience in the offshore/international marketplace.
-Extensive knowledge of financial products, investment techniques and strategies, and applicable NASD and SEC regulations.
-Position requires NASD registration series 7, 63 & 24 in accordance with licensing policy.
-Demonstrated leadership, project and staff management capabilities.
-Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
-Ability to function with a high degree of independence. Proven ability to work well under pressure.
-Ability to work well with a variety of people across all levels of the organization.
-Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to attend applicable industry meetings, conferences, sales meetings, etc.
