Job Description:

Most importantly, this position will involve field management of the sales team.

The VP of Field Sales WILL NOT manage from behind a desk.  Instead, he or she will be placed in charge of a team of highly qualified, highly skilled professional salespeople and manage them where they are: in the field.  A significant component of the job includes the ongoing recruitment of sales staff, dealers and manufacturers' reps.

The VP of Field Sales will assist in the management and development of a 'sales coordinator department' that manages a geographical sales area. 

This position will work to maximize sales and product line revenues to suit corporate objectives.  A significant marketing component will be required of the position in order to meet those objectives.  The VP of Field Sales will assist in the development of print/advertising and marketing materials and will help with the ongoing improvement to the company website based on feedback from the field.  Additionally, he or she will coordinate and assist in event/show schedules as needed. 

The position will also develop an analytic model to use in all manners of territory development, alignment and refinement.  Additionally, this position requires identification and definition of current and future market opportunities.  It will be important for the successful candidate to facilitate and define strategies for acquiring price/product agreements and contracts directly with healthcare facilities and group purchasing organizations. 

The successful candidate will manage a team that consistently meets or exceeds sales objectives within assigned territories by demonstrating, promoting and selling through the use of professional sales techniques, superior customer service, unparalleled product offerings and long-term relationships.  The VP of Field Sales will insure that members of the sales team make a minimum of 10 sales calls per day and will constantly identify  potential growth areas both within existing accounts and by opening new ones.

Job responsibilities include:

Managing the team from the field to make sure each sales rep meets or exceeds all sales targets, which involves traveling within the United States
Daily communication with the sales coordination department with field managers. 
Weekly communication with outside sales force, independent reps and dealers. 
Weekly review with GM, President, Ops and factory manager pertaining to sales forecasting, current status, product review, shipping times, quality issues and other needs as they arise. 
Consistent monitoring of the sales process for refinement pertaining to 'best product, best service.'
Respond to and address customer feedback issues. 
Establish and conduct random customer surveys on a regular basis.  Communicate to BMS management the results of customer feedback and surveys. 
Conduct field audits and evaluations of sales reps on a regular basis. 
Establish goals relating to sales, product lines and market penetration to measure performance of BMS sales force. 
Weekly review of expense and call reports. 
Create and maintain database for monitoring ongoing contract and price agreements with health/hospital systems. 

Compensation Package:

Base Salary of $90,000 plus 1% of gross sales up to $7,250,000.00 in gross sales.  The VP of Field Sales would then earn 1.25% of anything sold over $7,250,000.00.  The realistic earning potential of this position is between $160,000.00 per year and $170,000.00 per year.

Monthly car allowance
Relocation is preferable; however not necessary.
