Take-Home Turkey Pot Pie
A tradition in our house for many years is-
Take home turkey pot pie!
I purchase several frozen AND fresh pie crusts in even numbers. The frozen crust for the bottom of the pie and the fresh, ready to use, crusts for the top of the pie.
As we are cleaning up after Thanksgiving dinner we make Turkey Pot Pies for each family to take home.
I start with the turkey meat in the frozen pie shell and add everything, potatos, vegetables, all the left-overs, then top with gravy and the fresh pie crust. I crimp the edges and wrap in foil, Viola! Instant meal for the next day, This will keep for a few days, or you can freeze the pie. Everyone ALWAYS wants the Take-Home Turkey pot pie.
