code names for things when they come in to the store. for 5-11 blitz code name is penquin 08 for weekend blitz code name is happyfeet 08. That will be what is on the labels.
learning 5-11 means the day after thanksgiving blitz 6 hours specials where the other means blitz specials that will run all weekend long. its just instead of blitz they will say those things on the label. This was on the wire. The list for blitz is to be on the wire I believe nov 11th. Not to be announced publicly though til like four or five days before blitz. Look it up on the wire under holiday playbook.

I agree with Fallen...that IS dumb! Just label "BLITZ "like in prior years...saves the expense of new labels and less confusion! But, THEY never consult with us peons! LS
it's probably in case some of the freight accidentaly makes it to the salesfloor. If it's left and customers see it, they know what "blitz" is. This way they won't know. We have customers who will look thru the pallets in the mornings.
one thing that's nice this year i hear is that we are getting only one truck a few days prior and they are all palletized so it really is drag and drop to whatever space it goes in...much nicer than last year...
