Congrats kodakchromer.  A Halloween baby how wonderful.  Have you noticed how young Grandmas are?   I don't feel that much different from when I graduated high school but that lady looking back in the mirror sure is old!!!  LOL

First of all may I say a big congrats. I have a 19 month old grandson and a grandaughter that is due Christmas Day. The grandbabies are now living in Okinawa for 2 1/2 more years but my grandson was born here and we were standing right outside the delivery room. When he made his first cry all the grandmas cried too. People kept telling me you love your children but you LOVE your grandbabies and I know what they mean now. The best advice I can give you is wait for your DD is ask for advice, don't just offer it. And remember that things have changed alot since you had your DD, what you did with her may not be the norm anymore. Again, congrats. Do you live close to your DD? DS lived about 25 miles from us when grandson was born. I saw him as much as I could but I also didn't make a pest of myself.

Congratulations.
I have nine and now going to have GREAT no 5.
You spoil them a little bit. Can't help yourself.
Un fortunately mine are not close enough. YUK>
I offer my opinion they can take it or not.
I do it nicely tho. I know they have to learn.
They are something else tho.

How wonderful and exciting for you!!  I fully love being a grandparent.  Hubby and I have 9 grandchildren ranging from 7 months to 22years old.  Just be there for them.  My hubby is retired and babysits our new grandson.  It is so great.  We offer advice which is seldom excepted, but I understand it has been 36 years since our children were born.  My daughter-in-law would rather go to her online groups for advice.  It doesn't hurt my feelings, because I know she is a wonderful mother.  But sometimes, I want to remind her that all of my children turned out happy and healthy.
