Okay our bins are nearly done and ready for the new backroom program. My question is this... who is responsible for backroom onhand changes, bin exceptions and bin audits ? My understanding was that it was the new "instock" team that would be responsible for all of this. Am I correct ? Or am I just imagining it... For the last week this is all I have been doing. I am still not done with the bin audits from yesterday, as I did on hand changes. |

IMS is responcible, but if you want to make sure your onhands stay correct, I'd do it if they let you. At first we were told only IMS could be in the bins, but I don't think they were all trained right. Once you hit bin audit, it deletes everything in that bin. So if they aren't trained right, if they hit bin audit and they bin something then the only thing that will show up as in the backroom is what they scan. Now keep in mind if they do an onhand count, and it's really back there but not bin listed and they zero it out, it's going to create an order for it. I like knowing what is in my bins, and I absolutley hate when IMS zeros something out, because they don't check all of the places we do. It could be in claims, it could be a return, it could be in someones cart. so I like to do my own checking and my own onhand changes. Blossom |

I asked this very question today of the SM... he told me that the instock team was responsible. Well... I don't trust them at all because they simply don't care.. and I do... So...... today I had to redo the 29 bin audits that were started yesterday... even though I finalized them... it wasn't finalized. Sure its a lot of work, but like you said if you want it done right....do it yourself. |

my overnight weekend guy refuses to bin
anything..so i come in and there is a full pallet or more of freight he just
threw in there...easiest for me was to alt F3 and delete the whole bin and start
over..course i haven't done that yet....

I have a few gripes about this backroom program.. #1 - how does this work if you can't get to the bin in the first place? THey start cramming pallets of freight down our aisles around 3pm each day..The day shift of my dept is constantly working old freight, never getting time to get to the bins. We have no instock team yet, and if we did, they wouldn't be able to get to the bin anyways... I do like the new system in a way, but it does take longer, and if u don't have a telxon, then you can't bin it:( |
