Well I went in for my little meeting Yesterday on my demotion.
My Store Manger said that she was demoting me because she was protecting me.
There are 7 CSM's she said that the loan bags, the pulls, (Which I don't do pulls because I usually work by myself) and audits have been off and since my last write up a year ago was because I left a money bag sitting out in the C.O. Office.
That she was demoting me to protect me. Out of 7 CSM's Only 4 of the CSM including myself are always counting the drawer almost every hour.
But well she wanted me so bad to go to the ICS team. Because they really need the help. She said that she would like to see me on the ICS team where I can learn a lot and maybe become a department manager from there. She said that she heard that I wanted to go overnights. I told her yes because I have done it before and I know how the department manager like there deparmtment I use to be in Women's Department for a year. So after some more little chit chat about important she thinks that I am for walmart that she did not want to loose me. That she GAVE me a choice.
I had to pick from Overnights or ICS. I picked Overnights. For a few really good reasons. For one it would be that the store is not open and they won't ask me to cover CSM'S lunches and breaks. which they have done this before with the last CSM they demoted. Plus I won't loose that much money.....Going overnights I might make a little more.
Now after this wonderful meeting.....We were closing that day at 6pm and My Assist manager came to me and asked me what my plan was for closing the store at 6pm and to get the customers out without trouble. For one it will not be easy since it is actually the first. But I had jumped in and put two people on the exit door to help with receipts. Two on the front door to let people know that we were closing.
Started at 5:15 and closing all the outlining registers. Closed Garden down at 5:30 and kept two people back in Garden to make sure no one goes back there.
All register trained associates were all told to go to the front end .....All registers were up and going. Left the Service desk and Jewerly department open,
We just started pushing customers up front. My Assist Manager said that she was very impressed on how I just took over and I handled it real good.
I told her....That this went really smooth compared to Christmas Eve.
And the store Manager said I can't handle things.
Well they will see when I am gone that I was the only CSM that not only cared about the front end. But I cared about how the Whole store worked.
I am also putting in for a transfer to another store. Hoping for a Supercenter so I can work in one and maybe later come back here and work in one of the four that are going to be opening up around here.
