Hello happy people, It seems I havent got a right to voice my opioion, about having to smell smokers walking by me, Iam out numbered by the smoking public. you might, as well hang me up the flag pole and the constatution, to go with it. The respect for the indavidual is non igsistant. people would rather infume themselves with their adictive, habits than to show any respect to their nieghbors. This is, why laws need to be passed in the first place we can't become, so irrogant to let a habit dictate how the rest of society should, have to tolrate you and if you want to attack me for speaking my mind, I prefere a baseball bat then to put up with you and your cigarettes any longer. Have a wonderful mothers day Arcangel |

Dear mystalkablondie, fallen has aplogized to me and iam ok with that, why can't you be, yes second hand smoking is, bad that is why I chose to discuss it here I see the, ugliness at work and I felt the need to vent about it. please let us all make peace I still have to live with, the smokers at work but Iam going on with my job, no matter how distastful I feel it has become I felt, that I have been able to express my view enough to, be satisfied in other words I feel there is no need for, more tention Iam still not sorry that I made mention, of this issue and now I respectfully ask that we go on, to other important matters weather or not we can change, things that is a whole other issue. let us all move forward without trying to cut each other down, Have a nice day everyone from Arcangel |

arc..glad we are ok...i dont' even want to go into the thing with the other poster and think it is time to drop the subject since it seems it is indeed a touchy subject for some....not to say that we can't talk about it, but there is a time when its enough..and i think we hit that point...
and no arc..i don't have anything against mystalkalblondie (sorry if the spelling is wrong..just worked an 11 hour day with 1/2 lunch) but it seems she has something against me...but whatever...i don't want to get caught up in it, my life is too busy with other more important things...what is...is and i'm not changing for anyone (and i don't expect anyone else to either)...
arc..have a great day...you too mystalkkalblondie |

I try clovey, I sometimes think it is healthy to pick a challanging topic even if there are those, who condem the messanger but I feel, optomistic that some people that smoke, will read this blog and consider their actions. have a great day one and all from Arcangel |

It's Tn state law that we can't smoke inside a public building. We have areas outside of the building, totally devoid of shelter from the elements. If we get pneumonia from smoking outide in the cold, freezing rain, oh well, that's our bad, and we deserve to die. Who do we think we are, deserving shelter??? And just why do we need an area set aside just for us smokers? Cause most certainly. wee're go0nna have a non-smoker come across & bitch about the area that we have, that they wish they could have. The grass is always greener, ya know. |

It's also Tn state law ..you can't smoke with in 50 feet of a public door way .. But every day we see it done..and we also see ASST MGR's and a CO go out side the back door and smoke ... |

If the smoker would put the ashes, were they should go and not smoke, near the front door then their would, be no issues with this one dept manger, two days ago almost carried his cigarette, inside and I was going to throttle him good, I was that angry. Arcangel |

here is my fear when they start restricting things a person can do. What's next? I don't smoke myself, I dont care if others do as long as no one blows it in my face. I remember back before there were seat belt laws. There was a push to get it on the ballot to vote on and it kept getting shot down. NO one wanted to have police able to pull people over specifically to check to see if drivers were belted in........SO at that time, we were told no one could get a ticket for no belt unless they were not belted in while being pulled over for another violation(such as speeding or tail light out) Now of course since we've gone down that slippery slope, police have sting operations set up on the side of the road to pull over and ticket anyone without a seat belt on. $65! Now Im not advocating NOT belting in, I think that's a good thing to do, and it saves lives, Im just sick of being told what to do "for my own good" by the government. I view the smoke areas restricted, as more freedoms being revoked. |

Mystalkablodie, We agree on that ..there is to many laws that can be twisted now..just such as the seat belt law .. we are going to fine some one for not wearing a seat belt in a car ..but yet put our children on a bus with no seat belts ...? What ever happened to the public vote of the common people ? Smoking is in fact a very bad and harmful habit..but ..putting more laws on it isn't the answer ..does any one remember prohibition ....appeartly the senate doesn't ! |

I agree with what Clovey said. Hope everyone will respect others opinions, instead of bashing them, because we would rather act childish when others say something we disagree with. |
