this would probably be the generation that grew up playing with baby dolls that cried and wet their diapers etc..who thought having a baby was fun, etc...just forgot that the real ones you can't just set down and walk away when you're tired of them....

omg, my daughter is two months old and i would NEVER set her down in a store..for anything.

i personally think there should be a "leash, cart or carriage" law for kids. you know how many kids WOULDNT get raped and murdered if it was the LAW that pepole had to have their kids strapped.

when Jocelyn starts walking, i've got a leash for her that looks like a monkey backpack and the tail is what i hold on to.

i brought this up in a group once on another site and everyone agreed with me except 1 woman who asked "why should my kids be punished?"
i don't see it as a punishment. she went on to say how she has 3 little kids and she's the perfect mom who can handle them all at the same time when shopping and doesn't take her attention off of them.. how do you shop when you only have your eyes on your kids?

i don't see it as punishment either but as a parent you really should be able to keep an eye on your kid(s) and get them to stay with you without a leash..they are not dogs...

my kid was never allowed to walk away (and he didn't)..he was always in the cart at all times (either in the seat or the big part)

i used to go on field trips with the daycare i worked at with 75-80 kids and 5 adults max...kids as little as 2 and we never had an issue keeping eye on them...they never walked away...and this is going to places like a water park, the movies where we had to walk through the mall full of people, etc...

your eyes should only be on your kids....if you can't handle them all then leave them home with a sitter or neighbor or practice some birth control and keep the number of kids you have to the number you can actually watch....(sorry if i offend its just how i feel)
