Well it finally happened. After 4 1/2 years. I am no longer employed with Walmart. See Lies I told you they were after me. They said because I had missed two days since April. That they had to let me go. The only funny part about it is....They had 4 Big trucks that came in tonight and another one was pulling in just as I was leaving. Kind of stupid if you think about it. But I am still looking for a job that cares about there employees even if there are some medical problems.
One other thing that has been buging me. See I have a tumor by my stomache and I have been going to the doctors. They have been wanting to do surgery. But I have wanted to wait until after the holidays. So I can be there to work for walmart.
So since I was holding off on surgery. I was going in every other week to have a ultra sound done. They were doing this to make sure that the tumor was not gettting life threating. But it goes to show that this company don't give a darn. And that is putting it nicely. Well they can unload there own trucks. But there overnight stocker is no where as near good as I am. I cared about my department when it came time to put the merchandise on the sales floor. Everything was colorized and sized (apparel) .
The others just throw it up there.
Well since I am no longer employed at Walmart. If you want I can unsub from the group. You all take care and I hope that you have a better holidays than me.
Lady

Lady, I am not sure if anyone has discussed this in another thread, but why didn't you have your doctor to fill out a FMLA intermittant Leave of Absence form?  It would have covered you missing work and your doctor's appointments up to 12 weeks?

I agree with Kid, you simply have to stay here!

Sorry Lady ...it seems as if my store is not the only one that picks the rules that apply to some and not others..So many in our store take advantage of the three day out..so it won't count against them ..But then we have a select few that work the schedule the way they want to ...and nothing is ever said....did the  two days since April put you over the  limit of three days in a six month period ?. Hope your health inproves !
Stay with the group...

Seriously, stay with us. The main reason I joined this group [2 months after quitting Wal-Mart] is I felt I could share a common bond with a lot of the members here about my experiences at Wal-Mart, both good and bad. Probably the biggest example I would give (it's bad of course) is favoritism. It's people like you that make me want to come and post here. As someone else mentioned, there are those that get away with it all, and those who get away with nothing, you and I seem to be in the latter of the 2, as I was given a D-day for something half the store was doing. That D-day gave me the warning "quit or be fired" fortunatley I quit before being fired.
I know you are feeling a little down right now, as was I after leaving after 4 years 1 month, but my life has gotten sooooooooooo much better after leaving Wal-Mart, personally and professionally, and staying with this group after you are settled into life after Wal-Mart will make you feel the same way.

Thanks and I think that I will stay. I really want to see what happens to the future of walmart.
Thanks everyone. Yes I was a little hurt about this. But well I saw this coming. But at least it was before the holidays. I am going to Dr.s Monday for a complete physical and make sure that everything is okay. Get all test done and lab work. Then if everything is okay I am going right out and look for work. But first is me. I have to start taking care of myself. But for and can sell myself. >>>Gosh that sounds bad . But that goes with the interviews....
Again thanks and I will stay.

Sorry to hear that you have left Wal-Mart...through no fault of your own.  Too bad someone hadn't clued you in to the Intermittant LOA...it can be a godsend...I know because I've used it for my hubby!  Anyway...think positively...that next job will be something that you really like!  As for staying with this group...I was glad to read your post where you stated that you decided to stay.  I think I can speak for the whole group in saying that you are always welcome here.
