One of W2K's favorite sons strolls along his favorite spot in the whole arena: on the rooftop. A large, black raven sits atop his right shoulder. It's been a few years since he has been in W2K, let alone in the good graces of the managment itself. In the end, years pass, wounds heal, and things change. Speaking of things changing, he sees something very strange atop this rooftop he's grown to know like his own house. The camera pans to see long, black hair perched atop a voluptuous figure wearing a black tanktop and black cargo pants. She sits on his usual perch on the edge of the roof. Nevyrmorr scowls and changing his easygoing stride to a brisk, deliberate pace. The Dark Warrior makes sure his boots scrape loudly against the asphalt so the woman knows somebody is approaching. If she does, she's not showing it. Immediately, Nev stops right behind her and taps her on her sharply on her shoulder.

"AHEM! You're in my spot."

The woman turns around abruptly. At seeing her face, Nev jumps back about a foot and covers his eyes. He speaks to the raven on his shoulder.

"Cover your eyes, Manadh! It'll turn you to stone!"

Terri Lamin's lip curves into a smirk.

"Well, look what the cat coughed up. Shoo, birdie! Don't you have other people to crap on?"

She remains on a corner end of the rooftop, not budging.

"And, I don't see your name on this spot, only my ass. Which officially makes it mine."

Nev looks at Manadh who immediately flies over to Terri's shoulder and sits on it. The painted mutant smiles at Mandah and shakes his head, "Hm, he must have a high tolerance for sub zero temperatures." Manadh turns around so its behind is facing the woman. It lifts it's tail up and bends forward. Nev scowls at the bird and claps his hands loudly, scolding his pet,"Manadh, no! I said SIT! Sit on her! Not...oh, never mind." Nev looks back at the woman and smiles brightly like only he can, laughing heartily. The painted mutant smiles and shakes his head, "Damn bird must be getting old."

Terri cocks her head to look at the bird on her shoulder, "Maybe its stupid- OUCH!"

Terri scratches the top of her head, where the bird snatched back on only one or two strands of hair.

"I hate animals. God only knows how I manage to tolerate YOU," She sticks her tongue out at Nev. "What are you doing here, anyway?"

Nev shrugs.

"Birds such as Manadh and I can never stand the stifling air of an arena for too long." Nev cocks his head and notices an inherent distress in her eyes. "Terri, what is it? What's bothering you."

"No idea, really," She shrugs. "I don't want to be here, I guess, which is why I'm sitting up here. To get away for a while."

Nev looks at Manadh who flies away. The Dark Warrior walks over to where Terri is sitting on the ledge and sits beside her;their legs dangling high above the street below.

"Why don't you like it here, Terri? You used to love this place. You used to love wrestling. I have never felt distress from you like this, ever."

"It could just be a rut. I guess, at some point, everybody goes through not wanting to deal with all these peoples bullshit."

Terri, who obviously fears no heights, looks down at her own feet as they swing, slamming her heels against the wall just to hear a sound other than wind and her own voice.

"I blew my spot in the God of Wrestling tournament... usually, I'd be pissed. But I don't really care. I don't see the God of Wrestling thing like the others do- maybe I've been around it too long, you know with Ranma and my brother and all. It's just not something I feel I need to do right away, because face it... My last name is Dangerously. And Saotome. I can go into that tournament until I'm freaking 80 and get away with it."

Nev leans over and looks into Terri's eyes with a sudden intensity. "There was a time when Terri LaMin walked these halls and people feared her. There was a time when her name would invoke nothing but a sense of fear. You were once an empire, Terri. WE were once two entities that embodied what this company and this industry was all about. You were an empire and I was the rebel, but we did well for this industry...didn't we? We were' respected." Terri turns to look in Nev's eyes, feeling his intensity. There is an inherent savagery in their twinkle. "But now....now we're not even the joke, but the punchline. We walk the halls of any promotion and those gasps before the screams become nothing but the gasps before laughter. We deserve better and since the others will not give us respect, we will make it for ourselves. Together, Ms. Dangerously, we can make the empire rise again."

"... Only if you're serious. Dead serious, Tristan. It can be done. I definitely need something to put me back into gear, and it obviously wasn't the tournament. I don't know if you've heard, but there are dual championships now- sort of a partnership of two titles, where, the holders of both these top titles are to be partners in crime themselves, in order to keep a strangle hold on their positions."

With her shoulder, Terri nudges Nev's shoulder.

"Besides... We've never really got a chance to work together."

"So... I thought... you know, you and Amber.... What happened?"

Nev shakes his head slightly, looks down at his lap, then back up towards the San Antonio skyline.

"We, uh, just don't get along too well anymore."

"Oh. A girl like her, they kinda come with alot of baggage, anyway."

Terri doesn't really know what else to say. But she does know that Amber is somewhere inside the arena beneath them. But, it isn't her business... she'll stay out of it. For now. Nev shakes his head, a sour smirk musters across his face.

"Baggage? If that's the case, she's the baggage claim. That girl comes with more baggage than Paris Hilton on a trip to Monaco."

Terri kind of smiles, as she looks at him, her head cocked slightly sideways.

"She's trouble. Trust me. And you don't need that... do you?"

Nev smiles widely.

"Trust me. A little heartache is nothing I can't handle. Besides..."

Nev looks at Terri, his smile softens.

"...blondes aren't my thing."

"Redheads are better-

She stops, cutting her eyes at a strand of newly blackened hair that hangs around her face.

"Or, raven-heads. They're great too..."

She smiles.

"But definitely Floridians. We're much cooler than Tennesseans."

Nev leans in and looks Terri deep in her emerald green eyes.

"I've always had a thing for the deep south."

Without realizing it, Terri inches closer to his face, so close, infact, that their noses touch. She tilts her head, and whispers to his lips, so close now that as she whispers, her lips touch his, but not in a kiss...

"Didn't you know? Everything's hotter down south."

Nev smiles slyly and chuckles a little bit.

"And there's a reason they call us mutants freaks."

Terri smiles as her face gets red.

"There you go talkin' shit again."

She inhales loudly as if to catch her breath. Terri and Nev pull away instantly.   Nev stutters, "I, uh, have to go...I'm hot...I mean, IT'S hot out here. The weather is, I mean."

Terri smiles invitingly as Nev stands up and steps back onto the roof. She watches as Manadh flits onto his shoulder. He runs a few steps, leaps into the air, and disappears into the sky.
