It's been reported that a piece of W2K's past, Thursday Night Meltdown, is coming back to MSN Network. Last time, it was a vehicle to keep PWT alive in a time Becca wasn't able to keep it open herself. For whatever reason. Now, in the present, PWT is really ungrateful but besides that, there is talk that the Jerm and Hamid are going to control each show to their liking, since that's how they seem to get along best- seperated.

- Good news. A second show will help storyline arcs continue and lesser storylines on RAGE can filter to Meltdown, gaining more airtime and thus, building people quicker. Besides, Collision Course went along way to help many careers and future Champions, Meltdown can do the same.
- Bad news. Why can't the Jerm just get along with that whacky Iraqi anyway? A second show will strain the roster, and although PWT needed the crutch in 2004, W2K doesn't now.

I could see this working, but Meltdown would have to have those that are new[er] to W2K so they can develop themselves. Main-eventers are those considered 'over' in W2K shouldn't be booked on Meltdown a lot as it should be used to establish the new talent -- Whilst RAGE is for the 'big names.'

I agree that Meltdown should be used as a development show for the people that are not yet considered main players in W2K or for struggling storylines that need special attention.

-Bad news because people are stupid and just bury everyone on the B show like they did to anyone who was on CC.

Pretty much what Cody said. Most don't want to be on a 'B' show and part of that is because those on the 'A' show treat the second show as just that, a lesser grade. Imagine if RAW superstars constantly talked smack about Smackdown! stars because they're on the program no one cares about. Guarantee that'd wouldn't sit well backstage. You don't need to divide the roster, it's easy enough to tell who wants to strive for success and who just sits idly by.

If this is coming up due to having too many people on the roster, consider maybe having some dark matches for the newer guys? Say right before RAGE and give it a similar feel of Heat that only airs on the website. It enables the new, not known people to get familar with W2K and once MGT sees they're going to stick around and RP, then they can get pushed to RAGE.

This way, MGT isn't overloaded with even more work. W2K's Heat equal dark matches don't need to be written out either, a simple X beat Y via the Rocket Launcher would do just fine.
