Well alright folks the show is over now. So lets get on our high horses and disect the hell outta it. me personally? I hated this year's draft. It was too obviously about trying to stack Raw and screw over Smackdown and especially ECW. I know I know, peopel are gonna point out Triple H as the last pick for SD but I doubt that'll last. Ya know they tried that once before and it went nowhere. He was back on Raw within minutes of the show going off the air. Plus I enjoy Michael Cole's commentary, but Raw is not Raw without JR and King calling it. I hope that is reversed before long. But that's what I think of the draft.

I thought the draft was awesome. even though I don't watch WWE as much anymore, I think the swaps were good.

Nice recap, Shifty, definately better than the crappy internet bullshit on message boards that bitch all the time.

And I agree, I think when used right Khali rules. He acted well in the Longest Yard, in my opinion and I wish I saw this phone segment.

I was honestly expecting it to go the other way around.  Raw was already stacked as was.  SD had one, maybe two big names being Edge and Batista since Rey wasn't in-ring active...
Rey Mysterio to Raw could be awesome.  He's horrible on the mic, and they need to keep him out of petty-drama style storylines like they had him in with Eddie Guerrero before... doesn't work so well.  Still, his in-ring style is easily the most entertaining.  If they can find a way for him to work well in storylines and skits, big asset to the Biggun show.
Jeff Hardy to SmackDown is a relief.  Even though he's a dangerous investment (you all know what I'm talking about), he's a fantastic entertainer.  I would've loved it if Matt stayed on board and they had another rivalry with Mix & Morrison, but it's not like SD and ECW superstars don't team up with each other all the time or something so who knows?  SD needed someone to give the talent that they have a good rattle... hopefully Jeff can do that.  Hornswoggle matches can only keep me entertained for so long...
CM Punk to Raw I saw coming.  The guy's popular enough, even though I don't see anything too incredibly awesome about him.  He'll be a good asset to the already stacked talent Raw has.  He puts up great matches consistantly, and takes his fair share of hardfought losses so... woo for Raw.
Matt Hardy to ECW I'm actually pretty excited for.  I loved it when he would defend his US title against the likes of Shelton Benjamin.  ECW is actually stacked with really great young talent, many of whom have fantastic potential.  Sticking somebody like Matt Hardy in there with his shiny US title gives something for the little-er guys to aim for, since Kane and Big Show are in a league of their own.
Jim Ross to SD and Michael Cole to Raw...  I didn't like this at first, going along with the whole "You can't break up JR & King!!!" type a deal, but I actually thought it was a good shake up after a while.  Apart from Mick Foley kissing major soomer ass, the two new pairs still work together rather well.  It's sad to break up the annoucning superteam, but at the same time it's not that big of a deal and it's a nice change of pace.
Batista to Raw is the only draft pick to Raw I'm glad to see.  Finally, he'll have competition in Raw rather than just demolishing everyone in his path like they like to make him do on SD.  So what now, Tista?  What'cha gonna do?  What'cha gonna do, when Supa Cena runs WIIIIllldd on yoouuu?!
Umanga to SD, to me, seems totally pointless.  He's a glorified jobber.  He's the one they put up against people they want to push.  There's nobody to push on SD.  Everyone's on Raw.  What a waste.
Kane to Raw made me mad.  I know Kane's a wierdo and actually likes to job a good bit, but he jobbed wayy to much on Raw.  I was hoping he would stay in ECW for a good while and do a couple of actualy ECW matches...
Mr. Kennedy to SD also seemed rather redundant.  He smashed everybody while on SD.  He complained about how he wanted to go to Raw.  He goes to Raw and gets smashed.  He starts to build himself back up again, then goes to SD where he'll smash everybody no problem...  ???
HHH to SD was an honest surprise.  Even though I doubt he'll stay on SD for long, he's definately a much needed talent spike for the SD roster.  I don't get why WWE wants to make one megashow and keep the other two shows down?  It would seem to make more sense to me to have three evenly distributed shows...

I actually hate Matt to ECW. It wouldn't be so bad if ECW wasn't treated so much as teh C show that WWE has it as. But since it is? Well it seems like a waste to send Matt there when he was finally getting something of a push on Smackdown. Unless there's going to be a prolonged feud with Chavo or Matt's gonna end up with the ECW belt somehow this is just cutting Matt's legs from under him. And that my friends is horse shit.

JR to Smackdown an Cole to Raw? I hate it! The commentary teams should not be shaken up. And if they were gonna change things around? No way should Cole an JR be switching shows. Those two arethe respective voices of the shows they've called for ten years at least. Michael Cole even said that he's called every Smackdown but 2 over the past ten years. And a Monday night without Jim Ross calling Raw just ain't right.

Looks like H will make at least one SD taping, but I don't forsee many more than that.

My point on the commentators, is they're going to be doing as good of a job no matter what show they're on.  JR's still going to be good ol' JR on SmackDown, and still give us his weekly awesomeness.  Drafting the color commentators around would be pointless because Mick Foley's not a garunteed permanent commentator like Michael Cole or JR are.

Certain things should never be done. Never put tin foil in the microwave. Never go outside with an umbrella while its lightning. Never drive drunk infront of a police station. And never.....AND THE ROCK MEANS NEVER(just had to do it lol) move JR from Raw. That should never be done, the announce teams were perfect the way they were abut leave it to WWE to screw things up. This is the worst decision WWE made since they came up with the Katie Vick storyline and Vince decided to start up the XFL.

There's no way you're going to be able to convince me Triple H will be on Smackdown by the end of the year.

I liked Matt Hardy to ECW because it gives ECW another person that can actually wrestle, it just sucks that Mark Henry is now on the roster too.

I have to admit, I have something of a weak spot for under achieving reterans.  I love seeing guys like Val Venis and Bob Holly getting pushes.  Mark Henry falls under the category too.  While he may not be the most technically sound, you gotta appreciate the guy's power.  He looks a bit clumsy against guys that are twice his size like Kane and Big Show, but he still pulls off pretty impressive feats against them.  Watching him fight guys that he can handle?  The dude's a beast.  What's more, he's been a beats for all these years.  So while he may not exactly be the most entertaining wrestler around, I think the guy deserves at least a short stint with a good title.

I have a soft spot for veterans getting pushes especially over guys who've only been in the company for 2-3 years which is why I never complained when Holly & JBL a couple years ago on Smackdown when everyone on wrestling boards were bitching about there pushes before they even happened. And I've never complained when everyone was moaning and complaining about Henry & Big Daddy V getting pushes. I just wish Henry would've stayed on SD or went to Raw and got a title run, rather than ECW. I'm still hoping Holly ends up on ECW, I think WWE missed the boat with him the first time he was in ECW after he got that big gash on his back during the match with RVD, he got extremely over in one week. I'm still kind of hoping Teddy Long gets to be the RAw GM and Val Venis gets to be the ECW GM, lol wishful thinking.

Supplemental Draft

Kofi Kingston - drafted to Raw

Drafted from: ECW

Hailing from the tropical climate of the Caribbean Sea, the Jamaican Superstar has been making serious competitive waves since his January debut in the Land of the Extreme. His unique in-ring abilities, style and lingo should add a wild flavor of excitement on Monday nights.

Layla - drafted to Raw

Drafted from: ECW

This gorgeous Diva promised she would no longer dance in the Land of the Extreme, and 2008’s Supplemental Draft has made that threat a reality. As of today, Layla will demonstrate her hot dance moves ?and even hotter temper ?on Raw.

Carlito - drafted to SmackDown

Drafted from: Raw

This second-generation Superstar and proverbial bad apple returns to the sports-entertainment roots from which he first grew. Whether that’s a cool thing or not is up to him; when he’s focused, Carlito is as talented ?and as dangerous ?as they come.

Finlay - drafted to ECW

Drafted from: SmackDown

His name's Finlay, and he loves to fight ?so being drafted to ECW is perfect for this Belfast bruiser. And with his pint-sized prodigy Hornswoggle providing big-time backup, there’s no telling how extreme Finlay will take Tuesday nights!

Shelton Benjamin - drafted to SmackDown

Drafted from: ECW

The Friday night brand is officially elevated by the Gold Standard. A SmackDown Superstar again after four years, the high-flying Benjamin is determined to prove once and for all that there “ain’t no stoppin?him now.?/P>

Maria - drafted to SmackDown

Drafted from: Raw

Maria has had one incredible year ?gracing the cover and pages of Playboy magazine, making headlines with Snoop Dogg at WrestleMania XXIV... and now becoming SmackDown’s newest Diva! Friday nights are looking better than ever!

Matt Striker - drafted to Raw

Drafted from: ECW

Until this year's Supplemental Draft, Matt Striker was perhaps the smartest Superstar in ECW ?at least, according to Matt Striker. However, anyone who thinks Striker isn’t tough enough to succeed on the Monday night brand could be in for a harsh lesson.

Brian Kendrick - drafted to SmackDown

Drafted from: Raw

As one-half of the longest-reigning WWE Tag Team Champions in history, Kendrick’s long-time partnership with Paul London comes to an end at the Supplemental Draft. But this eccentric and wildly entertaining high-flyer is definitely ready to fly solo on SmackDown.

Chuck Palumbo - drafted to Raw

Drafted from: SmackDown

The Revved-up Superstar now rides his hog to the squared circle every Monday night. And he has the power and drive to make a significant impact as a Raw Superstar.

Super Crazy - drafted to ECW

Drafted from: Raw

He’s super! He’s crazy! And thanks to being randomly selected in this year’s WWE Supplemental Draft, he’s now extreme! Super Crazy is a high-energy luchador who has Moonsaulted off arena balconies, so the Land of the Extreme should be right up his alley!

Hornswoggle - drafted to ECW

Drafted from: SmackDown

Even without his dad Finlay by his side, there’s no denying that this pint-sized pugilist is a tough li’l tussler. And if there’s one thing ECW’s elite is going to learn about Hornswoggle, it’s to never sell him short!

DH Smith - drafted to SmackDown

Drafted from: Raw

With a sports-entertainment heritage that’s second to none, DH Smith is steadfast on writing a new chapter in his family’s novel of greatness in the sport of kings. “Rule, Britannia?now blares on SmackDown.

Deuce - drafted to Raw

Drafted from: SmackDown

Jumping over from the Other Side of the Tracks, this former WWE Tag Team Champion is no longer cruisin?and bruisin?with Domino or Maryse. Ready to throw down anywhere, any time, the retro-clad Deuce is looking forward to a Raw future.

Big Daddy V - drafted to SmackDown

Drafted from: ECW

The measuring stick of Friday night ring competition just grew 500 pounds heavier. The Most Dominant Force in WWE is ready to make a super-sized impact on SmackDown ?and on any opponent who dares to get in his way.

Trevor Murdoch - drafted to SmackDown

Drafted from: Raw

This southern brawler and former co-World Tag Team Champion was a Raw roughneck, no doubt about it. But now that he’s officially a SmackDown Superstar, look for him to start singin?a new tune every Friday night.

Jamie Noble - drafted to Raw

Drafted from: SmackDown

Noble may not be among the strongest or most powerful of WWE Superstars, but he is certainly one of the toughest competitors you’ll ever come across. As a new member of the Raw roster, Noble brings a mean streak to the squared circle that makes him a force to be reckoned with.

Mark Henry - drafted to ECW

Drafted from: SmackDown

The World's Strongest Man has already muscled his way into the ECW Title Match at Night of Champions. But if Mark Henry defeats ECW Champion Kane or Big Show in their Triple Threat clash Sunday night, he’ll be bringing the extreme gold back where it belongs: his new home.

After seeing the supplemental draft I'm not mad that Mark Henry is on ECW now since the people I liked on ECW aren't even there anymore and the people that I wanted to go to ECW are on SD or Raw except Super Crazy.

After the supplamental draft I'm not that pissed over the draft. I mean I'm still pretty ticked off bout the JR/Cole switcharoo, but not anything I can do about that. Ya could say just not watch but eh I'd rather just watch something I don't particularly like and support the industry as a whole than not watch and hurt the industry just cause I didn't like an announcer switch.

Anyways, I'ma talk about teh draft again. I feel bad for poor ECW as  they got badly raided and robbed blind. But at least Raw isn't as stacked as it was after Monday. WWE made me proud by throwing some real talented peoples over to Smackdown. In fact I think that Smackdown has ended up the best off after this year's draft. I'm actually really excited for Smackdown brand now! YaY WWE!
