ENERGY OF THE lABYRINTH
--CONTINUED--
The circle, a symbol of wholeness, the cosmos ect. like basilicas, medicine wheels, and stupas. Throughout history everything was and is done in circles, sitting in a circle, dancing in a circle, and how do we get control when we first learn to write? we make circles on a paper. Know that when you set foot in the Labyrinth, you are within that sacred circle.
Reaching the center of the Labyrinth is about a focus of spiritual power and grace, the still point in the center of a chaotic world. After the twists and turns of it's circuts, this still point mirrors the calm senter of gravity deep in our soul, which remains unaffected by the movement of our lives.
Like the Mandalas, sacred circles are the graphic representation of both cosmos and psyche. To walk the Labyrinth is to embody that journey, like the Navajo Medicine Men and women, and Tibetan Monks, who use their sand mandalas to heal, so to when you walk the Labyrinth you draw on that same power of the Mandala, in the Labyrinth.
The area before the Labyrinths are made is usually barren of any such energy or water, but when walked on a regular basis, can draw primary underground water to them. This could of been the thinking of the Nascan civilization in their reason for building the giant designs (mistaken for alien landing strips) on the Nascan plains, of which was found out had energy ray centers, and each had a dome of water under it, in one of the most arid places on Earth,
The Earth is a living being, she interacts with human consciousness, and walking with intent an sacred paths draws the attention of the water, and her energy. Water was found under the black madonna in the Chartres Cathedral, under the altar stone at Stonehenge, and at the center on Anasazi kivas in New Mexico. All is a result of Ley lines and sacred space.
Energy Ley lines are found at sacred sites and are six to eight feet wide beams of (Yang) or active energy flowing in straight lines. These ley lines with their (Yin) counterparts, domes and veins of water, conform to the layout of the sacred space, for example, one line usually runs along the major axis of the site from the altar, or center and out the front door usually crossing over the dome of water. In some Labyrinths actual water pumps had to be put in to relieve the pressure of the dome to keep place from seeping water. The coast lines of Finland and Sweden have more Labyrinths per square inch than anywher else on Earth, (This possibly reflects their relaxed views on their bodies in public as well as their view on life)
Circles, centers, spirals, all have an ancient discipline called Sacred Geometry which the Labyrinth gets much of it's power. Two important components of Sacred Geometry have a direct bearing in the Labyrinth: Transcendental numbers and the Golden Mean. The Golden Mean, the most essential pattern, of which a smaller part of the pattern is in the same relationship to a larger part of the pattern as the larger part is to the whole. The Golden Mean and Transcendental numbers determine the structure for all sacred archetecture.
The Golden Mean is also the matrix for organic spirals in nature, in example, the distribution of seeds in a sunflower, the spirals of a rams horn, the spiraling of a shell. The Golden Mean, invisibly spiraling in the Labyrinth invites us, even if we don't know it.- we participate in the unfolding of the world every time we walk it's curves.
The Labyrinth is akin to a huge tuning fork vibrating with the energy of Sacred Geometery and when we walk it's paths, we are contained within sacred geometry, it's very good and powerful energy. It's like the Labyrinth is ringing, and your body starts ringing sympathetically once you walk. If there are stuck blocks of energy inside your energy field, as a result of a painful episode in your life, the longer you walk the Labyrinth, the greater the chance that those blocks will get shaken loose and free, from all the vibrating. To walk the Labyrinth is an incredible way of getting bad vibes and garbage out of the body, So get out of the modern world and walk into the ancient, mysterious, Labyrinth, and learn what our ancestors knew was good for us.
Blessed Be
