What is the difference between Blu-ray and regular DVD player?
I know that blu-ray holds more space but why I should replace my DVD player if not much difference?

IT LOOKS LIKE BLUE RAY WILL BE THE WINNER SOONER THAN LATER..THERE ARE ONLY 2 HOLDOUTS THAT ARE STILL GOING WITH THE OTHER NEW FORMAT...IT IS FOR FUTURE USE..DVDS COME OUT IN ONE OR THE OTHER FORMAT...DON'T BUY ANYTHING NEW UNTIL THIS STUFF IS ALL SETTLED DOWN. THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT WANT THINGS NOW..IAM A WAIT AND SEE PERSON ESPECIALLY WHEN COST IS INVOLVED...

unless you have a tv that actually runs in 1080i or p it is probably a waste of about $400 I'm just. That is the difference between your DVD and Blu Ray. And also even though it does look like Blu ray is winning the battle it is not yet the standard. So I'm leery of buying Blu ray or HDdvd player until they standardize. With good reason I still have a beta player in storage somewhere  lmao

i have a HD tv but not a dvd HD of course anymore the big screens are HD
