Basic PSP Tutorial
This will help you learn basic steps
used in the tutorials.
First customize your toolbar.
Click,
File, Preferences, Customize Toolbar.
This window pops up.
Highlight and add anything you want
on your toolbar. Or remove items.
This is my toolbar.
Browse is a very powerful feature.
Click this and a window pops up.
Click on the C Drive, then the folder you want.
I keep most of my graphics in one folder,
in sub-folders. Like this.
HOLDING1
is where I keep my sub-folders.
The browse will show any image in that folder.
When you see a graphic you want,
just click-hold-drag it to the worktop.
This feature allows you to see
many images at once. I can find what I want fast!
Layers are another Powerful tool.
Turn the Layer Palette on/off by clicking .
Right Click on the blue bar to see the features.
A BLUE bar at the top of a
graphic, means it is ACTIVE.
Layers are like sheets of glass
stacked on top of each other.
When looking at the screen,
you can see all the images as if on one layer,
But you can move each image
independent of the other layers.
Above are four flowers. Each is on it's own layer.
They can all be moved or
stacked in mismatched order.
Tool Palette Icon.
Click this on the toolbar. This pops up.
Here you can change the options
of the selected tool.
