In your eyes and see a whole new world,
A place created by the gentle hands of innocence
And kept alive by the sweet essence of hope and inspiration.
A sky of gleaming sapphire, melting into an ocean of crystal blue,
This is your own perfect landscape, the home of all your dreams.
It’s an image so clear and pristine, a picture painted into your mind
And sketched upon the surface of your heart,
Each line, shape, and colour intensifies the magnificence
Of the place I see within you.
I long to be there.
I glare at the girl who is trapped inside the glass,
Staring back at me, silently begging for her freedom.
Her gaze captures me and won’t let me go, my eyes become transfixed
Upon the image I see before me.
I become lost as I stare into the mirrors of her heart
And uncover a secret world that I wish never existed.
Her perfect landscape is a lonely place,
Grey skies, dark clouds and emptiness are all that live
In her world of shattered dreams.
It’s a gruesome picture, cold and lifeless,
A faded illustration of sorrow, fear and pain,
A portrait of a damaged heart and a broken soul.
The world that lives inside her,
A landscape of no tomorrow.

This is one of the first poems that I ever wrote at about 13 or 14, a lot of people have said it's good but I disagree. Lol.
