waves keep coming
large frightening
small and unprtected
struggling to emerge
carried in the flow
raging out of control
destination unknown
feelings raw
at the mercy of the wave
pain from yesterday mixed with the now
pain and fear mingles
distinction between actual and not is unclear
why now
how much more is there to fall into
and will the waves carry me to safety?
