Hidden depths with undercurrents
sweep clean the beaches of living,
tidal waves seldom roll ashore...
on the sands of true lover's giving.
To hold the torch of moonbeams
and play a harpsichord's refrain,
then use angel wings to wipe the brow
when in the role of partner, again.
Solid ~ the built-up foundation
and strength, the  portal of caring,
with ivy binding in vows of love
protecting ~ in weathered caring.

Mr Zy is tasty, like a stew in its prime,
And seasoned with parsley,sage,rosemary,and thyme.
He is like a seasoned hunk of yew,
Which does not warp, and is always true.

hahaha, time and patience, Maria, but it was an attraction at first sight,

but yes, it takes longer to get beneath the surface, and... well worth the time and effort, Zy

Mrs Deezee did desire
a partner to withstand,
to be there ~ in fortitude
and stir with a manful 'hand'.

lol... thanks, Philip, Zy

I like the blend of the metaphors, Zy. Most apt, I think.
