Across the towns and villages
Darkly the night does lie
Frantically folk rush around as
Quickly the hours pass by
Houses and trees are all aglow
Bedecked with festive light
Excited children try to sleep
For Santa comes tonight

With his magic sleigh and reindeer
He hovers up above
Then gathers up the parcels and
Delivers them with love
Thrilled children wake their parents up
Before new morning’s birth
And Santa’s still delivering
Around the rest of earth

I was so excited that I couldn't sleep last night - but I'm just a big baby anyway.

Hmmm... I sang to the tune of "O Little Town of Bethlehem". Am I right? It fitted perfectly.

Pleased you liked it, Stella ....took me ages to keep the tune in my head .....kept drifting off to various 'pop' ones, all mixed up .....lol
