A Whispering Sea

The sea
washing on a
shore line
sounded
like God
whispering
in my ear
about
the truth
of all beings suffering
asking me
to listen both
the sun
and moon
rising
setting
to understand
the rise and fall
of all things
telling me
just to
listen
to my heart
that unlike
my brain
told no lies.
It makes
honest mistake
but is
true
yet I need brain
to allow me
to exist in
this violent place
but never
to be untrue.
The sea whispers
you are of
redemption
but are
you true?
I think
hard
on this
redemption
but
dawn is breaking
I
can hear it
and I am steered
by
the beating of my heart
matching the water.
The grace of sea waves
ripple wreath
around my
dark deep depths
that ugly gutter
being washed
by
the whispering sea
towards redemption
