Hy Poets, I posted something I found with reference to the Tanka format in Challenge and Poetry Workshop I'm still trying to get the hang of them with help from Clive, but although there is a recognised syllable count, it does not appear to be essential, as long as it's five lines within 31 syllables GREY DAYS ~~~ In shaded sadness Infinite wonderings Fall relentlessly Umbrellas miss the rain though Tomorrow will be brighter ~~~ (c) ZYDHA HART 2005 |

Hi Zy, I was just replying to this when it disappeared lol. I think you are definitely getting the hang of these tankas especially liked 'umbrellas miss the rain though' - but I think you just added though after I read this the first time lol Emma |
