The hand that held mine
slipped away
Somewhere
out along the way
The time that passed
has turned to grey
the hairs upon the pillow
Silent nights
in long walks filled
contemplating
where the thrills
Seemed to have gone
Deserted waves
on empty beaches
jaded wasps
feast on rotting peaches
by the bench
the walk then reaches
to watch the sun go down
Playing games of fetch
with mans best friend
wonder was this how
it had to end
Now the leaves begin to fall
Tunes are hard
places barred
too many memories
like a jagged shard
Dont collect
Go straight to Jail
Give me a chance
and get me bail
In the monopoly of love.
Day lights gone
We wonder home
The empty hand
Feels so alone.
This evening.
