I didn’t really want to laugh today

But somehow I was caught unawares

And though I tried

To reach in side

Let misery weep and wash

Happiness came to somehow quash.

Where is that ache

I so yearn to find

Damn it, you stole the cloud

Leaving anguish behind

And here I am

Laughing and laughing

Paroxysms of heaving

Merriment

But what is this?

A tear drop falling to the floor

My tears of joy

Amidst a crumbling world

That stupid bud unfurled

Inside of me

That leads to

Uninhibited happiness
