The Enemy Oh no, it's her again, That girl who I can't stand. I see her all the time, She never leaves me alone. She's there every day, Looking at me like I'm nothing. I know what she thinks, She hates me. I dont think we know each other very well though, Maybe, just maybe, One day she'll like me and i'll like her. Who knows? For now though, things'll have to stay the same, I'll see her, She'll see me, Same as the old routine. She'll stare at me And I'll stare at her, Every single time I see her face Glaring at me in the mirror. ---------- This was the first "proper" poem I ever wrote - aged 12 |

Not you too, Tony??? lol...you have no idea how many half finished (or blank) emails I send off. Hy Fluff, this piece is from two years before I met you in cyberspace and I think there was an element of this perspectve still around then, certainly the obvious talent as a poet/writer. But since then, 'you' have begun to realise the true worth of that reflection and the potential she has, both, as Tony says, as a friend, and as someone who has so much going for her. Embrace the 'me' of you...you make a very fine pair, love, Zy x |

Hello Mikhail As always, thank you so much for your kind comments, they are much appreciated. Many people have said that they know what's coming lol, which I'm not surprised really, but this was written during a very difficult time for me. I'm hoping to post more of my older stuff at the moment, just so those of you who didnt know me when I first joined here, can see how much my writing has changed throughout this time and the ways in which I have changed as a person. Thank you, my friend, Fluff x |

Thank you Tony - when I read your replies yesterday it bought a tear to my eye. You have just described the ways in which I have changed as a person - that I was telling Mikhail about in my reply to him. Your comments are very beautiful and they mean a lot. Thank you as always, Fluff x |

Hello Zy, my dear, Yes, this was written 2 years before you and I met and you are very right, there were still a lot of the same feelings whirling around in my head lol. As you know though, you have been a massive influence in my life - both on the basis of my writing and the ways in which I have grown as "me". This was written in the times where school was just beginning to become a problem. I met you when it was a problem, as you know, lol and since then I have never looked back! Your poem (you know the one I mean?) was a turning point and I believe, as you have said before, you wrote that all those years ago to help someone who was in need in the future - and you did. So, I thank you for that. As you know though, I am also a very different person now. I not only embrace myself as a friend, but I embrace my closest friends as a part of me. Thank you and love as always, Fluff xx |
