(just felt like posting this one again)
Did she never have a care Or masquerade with subtle flair, The Lady with The Mask.
In presence numb to all around Her silence was her only sound
With innocence she'd hypnotise, A mist would camouflage her eyes Then, someone thought to ask.
Who are you, you try to hide, The woman hidden deep inside,
So much you keep of you concealed We wish to ask that you should yield, The face that we should know you by.
Her mask she dropped without defeat And rose so both their eyes could meet
She smiled and said "Am I not here, I fail, to understand your fear, If I am me, accept and, ask not...why"

ah - but Zy - we agree
your explination simply says that you wonder 'why' - yet you seem to agree - there is no 'why' - since you seem to be saying you can find no answers - though you wonder
?, m
i do not mind disagreeing - since we know well our uniquenesses - but this appreas to be to be agreement vice disagreement |

Mmnnn.....but, Mikhail, just because one has not yet found the answer, does not mean there never will be one, lol, so... how many times have you thrown your hands in the air and cried out "Why?" or wondered at the reason for some things. I am sure you have, and will, as long as you can. The point of our 'slight disagreement' is the simple acceptance instead of asking, but, lol, women are much more curious creatures than men??? Zy |

Heehee...true, Stella, we do speak quite freely to each other here, but isn't that the beauty of a smaller site where we have gotten to know each other (as far as cyberspace allows) ? Some of us have/some still do, belong to another site, and have for a long time, but there...identities are constantly changed these days with confusion as to who is who and sometimes the conflicts there are fuelled by the fact that some don't know who some are anymore. I found the obscurity of some of the community less than a friendly one after a while and no longer participate, and didn't with comfort for a while before ceasing to post there. I like the idea of a poetic duel, lol, a 'masked' Haiku...it is, watch this space, Zy |

Ah-hah, this is the piece which I posted a great big massive reply to last night, and which, didnt actually post. Lol I was gutted!! I loved this the first time you posted it Zy and reading it a second time still has the same impact. This poem makes me feel so much when I read it, mystery, beauty and sadness. They are all tied up in your words and you capture so many emotions so well. And once more, your words create such a vivid image in my mind. I saw a lady in the shadows dressed in a long black cape, with her head facing the floor and she was holding a candle... With the last line of the poem she looked up and was crying... I dont know why I saw that, but I thought that I would share it with you. It doesnt matter how many times you post your work Zy, both old and new, I love reading it. I really did enjoy this. I especially like the way where at the end it left me thinking. Does my reply make any sense whatsoever, because I swear it did when I wrote one last night!! Lol. Thanks, love as always, Fluff xx |

I love the duels here too! But people say we don't need to ask why, for when we die we will have all the answers lol. Can we wait that long tho? |

ah - but at my age - i believe that my desperate 'why’s' are rhetorical - a sign of common frustration with the rest of humankind over the fact that some things we will never know - i.e., even if there are answers - 'man' will not know them
not because we are not interested and curious ?but ?because no matter our technological mastery of the rest of the animal and plant kingdoms ?we are still weak ?and ignorant - in so many ways and in so many facets of life

What a very interesting interpretation, Fluff, and not a million miles away either. This was more of the fact that we are not always seen as we are, and more often presumed to be different, something which might trouble others more than the subject, who just prefers to now recede without elaboration, mmnnn...well, sort of, lol, but that sounds so dramatic, thanks for your kind words, Fluff, love, Zy x |

lol....we don't have duels here, Dix, just healthy interaction fuelled by interest and curiousity and a love of deeper understanding. Now, Dix, it all depends on the questions surely and to what they are related on this earth, but afterwards...we are supposed to have eternal peace so won't be asking the 'why's and 'wherefor's of living down here, lol....it will all be so irrelevent then, Zy |

I know that is the strong belief, Dix, and of course at that time if one makes it to the pearly gates, lol, for I still question just how good one has to be, etc, etc, so fine, on that matter, I have to wait and see, but... whilest on this earth, Dix, I have so many unanswered questions about so many subjects/things...and am a particularly curious and interested person for finding the 'reasons why' for most things I meet/observe in life. It has never been possible for me to simply 'accept', hence...why my most accomplished study was Psychology, the ability to stand back, observe and assimilate, and if that is not always possible, lol, it drives me (((nuts))), lol, Zy |
