Lines Of Gray By Don Tyson Lines of men wearing gray, Standing, waiting through the day. A line for breakfast, another for lunch. A line for dinner and Canteen, too. Line up for medications, for sick call, and such. Men in gray who ran out of luck. Lines to the showers, lines for the phones, Another line to get their letters from home. They chose to go against the laws of man. Now they pay a terrible price, Standing in lines of gray everyday. The only hope they can see, The last line they'll stand in Will be the line to be free. Tragic and touching Bear, you can see the sheer misery of people who messed up badly. Sad to see this gray world of yours...well done! Maria |

Dear Bear,
I've never seen a life as gray as this one. And as Maria said you can see the sheer misery. An emotion stirring piece.

You paint a bleak and bleary world behind those bars, bear, well coloured in greyness, and as it should be. They gave up the rainbowed life when they committed their crime. It is not meant to be a holiday camp, surely. Sorry, but I would feel sadder if they had all the comforts of home, which many of our prisons here have and many still recommit, Zy |

Zy, You'll get no argument from me there. They get too much in Missouri too. I assure you it would be much more harsh were I in charge... bear Mikhail, Thank you, very much. I witness this five days a week; gotta pay the mortgage somehow, you know... bear |
