Cherry blossoms fall
on slow moving cars
cover them white pink
fit for Sunday washes

 petals land in my hair
in a ballerina pirouette
the urgency to perform
tangible
for gentle breezes
murder dancing flowers

 if ever a tree bloomed
in the wrong season

 choosing the pinkest
my dashboard resembles
the co-op hearse
a smiley faced air freshner
stands rudely central

 and when I move
I leave a trail of petals
in my wake
