Hy, Poets, most of you who are using the board already have a Collective Page (archive of your posted work) and Gordon and I have been experimenting with Aimoo, where we like very much. Both layout and facilities are very pleasing to use and work with and the privacy buttons are more than adequate...and... the other day, I lifted my Tagged Zydha's Collective from Multiply to Aimoo and was surprisingly pleased with the resulting link. Gordon has also migrated his test site in MSN with a similarly pleasing result. With this in mind, we are thinking of migrating the corner once more to Aimoo very soon, as msn is weakening by the day and in Aimoo, we could reproduce what we have here to a far better purpose than can be done within Multiply and thought we would give anyone who hasn't a Collective archive a few days to request one and also give those who already have one...an opportunity to top up and migrate within one thread a greater selection of archived poetry. We plan to give all members their own personal page which would begin with the link/tag back to the Collective page here, and this we can do even after the migration of the complete corner once again, as some of us have now realised Multiply has not lifted full threads with all our work and some of it is missing. We feel we must complete our experiments in the next few days with Christmas and New Year approahing so very soon. Bear with us as we see this out, but both Gordon and I do think we have found a better replacement site for our migration and we ask that you think about adding to Collective pages before we do it, thanks, Zy (and Gordon) |

I confess, did think about it, Jen - But Zy would have done bad things to me. Really pleased you like the venue, Maria. We won't have the specific link to our new home until we've carried out the migration. In the meantime, if you want to steal a march you can register with Aimoo here. Any questions, give either of us a shout. Gordon |

Just moved you up into alphabetical listing, Jen, (men, ...they will leave things lying around), lol and Maria, that's good news...I*m actually having trouble getting back into any of the sites in Multiply...won't accept my password, and am waiting ages for msn to change pages or bring up a message box tonight, yet have been over to Aimoo experimenting. This is just where I have been playing around, still got to refine usage and is not the corner site, but gives some idea of the layout and flexibility, Zy x x |

Admit it - You'd be disappointed if we didn't! |

I've never had a collective page, not that that matters as most of my poetry is pretty scattered around -
I wish you luck with the new move - I had a look at aimoo and it did appear easier
Best wishes all

Hy, Emma, just in case you might wish you had had one, as it can be transported around as long as it is off msn before migration, (and it should keep afterwards as it will be a copyable url) ...I have made you one. Would be delighted if you did use it, Zy |

Just moving this up again for the less frequent posters.... Because Jen will be using the holiday to top up hers, (and possibly Emma) we shall now definately be moving to Aimoo at the end of the year, Zy |

Hi Zydha Have joined Aimoo and it seems to be a friendlier site and i checked out your site there and seems easy to navigate through. Have been watching here and seeing what you are doing as to moving and also joined with Multipy but not sure i get the hang of it there. But am on both no matter where you go. Will keep watching and see what happens. Hope all is well with everyone and hope to get writing soon. Peggy xxx |

Hi Zydha, I've signed up at aimoo and posted an item to the blog there, all very smooth so far and they certainly seemed geared up for migration without too much pain - fingers crossed it all goes well! I will probably bea bit quiet over the next week or two - aside form the other events we have afamily funeral to organise unfortunately so all plans are being re-organised...... Best wishes Dave |

Hy, Peggy and Dave, so pleased tto hear you will be with us in the actual corner placement after migration, we have given this a great deal of thought and I agree, Peggy, it is much more straightforward for our purposes as asst poetry boards etc. We shall migrate after hols so all can add to Collectives during them, so shall look forward to seeing you both in finished spot soon, just keep an eye on this thread where we shall post the Aimoo BBC Poetry Corner addi very soon, the hols have interupted our flow, Zy x x |
